Vacuum technology

By treating with aqueous solutions, a textile web can be functionalized according to requirements. In vacuum technology, liquid is selectively extracted from the material by means of an adjacent vacuum nozzle, which results in a very uniform product distribution over the material length, width and cross-section.

This uniform product distribution makes it possible to optimize the use of chemicals. Another advantage lies in the typically low moisture content of the product, this is especially true in the treatment of synthetic materials. In the subsequent drying process, significant energy cost savings can be achieved.

Mission: Technology Transfer Textile: The vacuum extraction process introduced in textile finishing is to be transferred to the targeted functionalization of nonwovens in the field of technical textiles in order to exploit the full potential of quality aspects while simultaneously optimizing energy.
